Versatis 5% Plaster is used for:
Surface anaesthetic for use in the mouth, throat, upper GIT; Local analgesic
Adult Dose
Ointment or Cream, Rub sparingly and gently to the affected areas

Pregnancy-Lactation
Recommendations on the use of Lidocaine in Pregnancy & Lactation:
Lidocaine use during pregnancy has not been associated with teratogenic effect and is also considered compatible with breastfeeding. However, when used parenterally, lidocaine at high levels can induce CNS depression in the neonate as it crosses the placenta readily. Lidocaine passes into the breast milk in small amount and is considered compatible with breastfeeding (Briggs & Freeman, 2015; Schaefer et al., 2015; WHO, 2009). Third trimester exposure with large doses may lead to neonatal respiratory depression, hypotonia, and bradycardia after paracervical or epidural block (WHO, 2009).
