Adenine .0275 % + Citric Acid Anhydrous .3 % + Dextrose is used for:
Blood preservation.
Adult Dose
It consists of a whole blood collection system with 70 mL of citrate-phosphate-dextrose (CPD), an anticoagulant for the collection of 500 ± 50 mL of whole blood, and 110 mL of adenine-dextrose-mannitol (AS-1), an RBC preservative solution. They are supplied with sterile, non-pyrogenic fluid pathways.
