Indications
Dibucaine topical is used for:
Topical Pain, Hemorrhoids, sunburn, cuts, abrasions, insect bites, skin irritation
Adult Dose
Topical Pain
Apply topically to affected area up to 3-4 times/day; do not exceed 30 g/day
Child Dose
Topical Pain
<2 years (or <15 kg): Safety and efficacy not established
>2 years (and >15 kg): Apply topically to affected area up to 3-4 times/day; do not exceed 7.5 g/day
Renal Dose
Administration
Wash hands before and after administration
May cover with light dressing if necessary
Do not apply to open wounds, burns, broken or inflamed skin; do not apply in nose, mouth or eyes
Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity
Precautions
External use only
Avoid eyes, nose or mouth
Photosensitizing agent; avoid direct sunlight
Consult physician if condition worsens or does not improved
