Indications

Isopropyl alcohol topical is used for: Antiseptic hand rub when soap and water are not available.

Adult Dose

Topical Apply a sufficient amount of product on hands to cover all surfaces. Rub hands together until dry.

Contra Indications

Hypersensitivity to Isopropyl alcohol. In children less than 2 months of age Open skin wounds

Precautions

For external use only. Flammable. Keep away from heat or flame. Keep out of eyes, ears and mouth. Discontinue use if skin irritation or rash occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Side effects of Isopropyl alcohol topical : No side effect at recommended dose. Isopropyl alcohol may cause burning, stinging, or a cold feeling where the medicine is applied.

Mechanism of Action

Isopropyl alcohol kills microorganisms by dissolving plasma membranes of the cell walls.
