Indications
Oxytetracycline 3% + Polymixin B Sulphate 0.013% Topical is used for:
Superficial skin infections
Adult Dose
Adult: Apply to the affected area on sterile gauze 2 or 3 times daily.
Child Dose
Child: Apply to the affected area on sterile gauze 2 or 3 times daily.
Renal Dose

Hypersensitivity.

Avoid prolonged use.

Local skin irritation.
Mechanism of Action
Oxytetracycline binds reversibly to the 30S and possibly 50S ribosomal subunits, thus inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and arresting cell growth. It is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
Polymyxin B: Bactericidal; causes leakage of bacterial membrane.
