Sodium Cromoglycate 4% Eye/Nasal prep
Indications
Sodium Cromoglycate 4% Eye/Nasal prep is used for:
Allergic conjuntivitis, Allergic rhinitis, accompanied by, nasal congestion
Adult Dose
Ophthalmic
Allergic conjunctivitis
Adult: Instill 2 drops of a 4% soln 4-6 times daily.
Nasal
Allergic Rhinitis
1 drop to each nostril 2 to 3 times daily.

Contra Indications
This drop is contraindicated in patient with hypersensitivity to Sodium Cromoglicate .
Precautions
As this drop contains benzalkonium chloride, patients should not wear contact lenses during treatment with this drop.

Adverse Effects
Side effects of Sodium Cromoglycate 4% Eye/Nasal prep :
Intranasal use: Transient irritation of nasal mucosa. Sneezing and epistaxis (occasional). Eye drops: Transient burning and stinging.
Mechanism of Action
Sodium Cromoglycate inhibits degranulation of mast cells and therefore suppresses the release of histamine, leukotrienes and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis.
