Sulconazole topical
Indications
Sulconazole topical is used for:
Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Tinea versicolor, Tinea pedis
Adult Dose
Topical/Cutaneous
Tinea Infection
Tinea corporis, cruris, versicolor: apply cream or solution qHS or BID x 3 weeks
Tinea pedis: apply cream qHS or BID x 3-4 weeks
Child Dose
Renal Dose

Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity.
Precautions
Pregnancy and lactation. Patient Counselling Avoid contact w/ eyes.

Lactation: not known whether topical preparations get into breast milk; use caution

Mechanism of Action
Sulconazole is an imidazole antifungal. It is active against dermatophytes, Candida spp. and M. furfur. It also possesses some antibacterial action against gm+ve organisms.
