Indications

Zinc Oxide + Avobenzone + Octinoxate + Enzacamene is used for: Sunblock, Solar urticaria, Acute solar dermatitis, Acute lupus erythematosus, Polymorphic light eruption, Photodermatoses, Skin pigmentation, Drug-induced photosensitivity

Adult Dose

Topical Apply on the exposed area of body to sunlight such as face, neck and body 30 minutes before exposer and whenever necessary. Repeat the application every two hours after continuous exposer to the sun and after swimming, physical exercise.

Administration

Massage on to skin until absorbed.

Contra Indications

The drug is contraindicated in individuals with a history of sensitivity reactions to any of the components of the ingredients.

Precautions

Application to broken skin should be avoided. Contact with the eyes and other mucous membranes should be avoided.

Pregnancy-Lactation

Pregnancy category C. It's not known whether this preparation is execrated in human milk. Caution should be exercised.

Side effects of Zinc Oxide + Avobenzone + Octinoxate + Enzacamene : Signs of irritations (including erythema, burning or rash) may appear when applied to sensitive or broken skin.

Mechanism of Action

Avobenzone Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane or avobenzone provides superior protection through a large portion of the UV-A range, including UV-A I. A significant addition to sunscreen products for true broad-spectrum UV protection, concerns have been raised regarding its photostability and its potential to degrade other sunscreen ingredients in products in which it is used. Zinc oxide is a mild astringent with soothing, protective, and weak antiseptic properties. It provides physical barrier to prevent skin irritation and help heal damaged skin. It also reflects UV radiation and used as a physical sunscreen. Octinoxate is a cinnamate ester and common ingredient in sunscreen and other skin care products to minimize DNA photodamage. Enzacamene is a monoterpenoid. ChEBI. Commonly known as 4-methylbenzylidene-camphor (4-MBC), enzacamene is a camphor derivative and an organic chemical UV-B filter. It is used in cosmetic products such as sunscreen to provide skin protection against UV rays.
